What's up folks???!?!
Joe (JerseyGixxer) and I are still down in Daytona after bike week (it's now 18 year old spring break week:) ) and we're just chillin. Tomorrow we're riding down to Key West to take some token "Southernmost point of the US" pics with the bikes. Yes, we rode. The entire way. On our gixxers. From NJ. ;)
Then we're gonna :pimp: it up strong for a few days in South Beach before sadly returning to our cold, snowy home state. On the bikes. We heard it was gonnna snow this week, so we're prayin it doesn't when we get back.
Just though we'd give a little check-in...Later :thumbup:

Oh man, it was long. You just fall into the routine of 2.5 hours driving, stop, gas, eat, go. The worst was leaving. The night before we were prepping so we barely got 3 hours sleep. Then we left and it was 40 degrees and pouring rain at 6 in the morning, making for about the worst 3 hours ever. But past that it got better. We'll pos tons of pics and details when we get back...(BTW--We're riding back as well, so pray for good weather for us... :lol: )

Damn, God Bless you. I rode back from Charleston, WV in the pouring rain and it sucked. And it was warm. And I was on a BMW. Mucho respect man.

OK, so we're in South Beach right now, just got off the beach and realized that the hotel has a computer...SWEET :thumbup:
Yesterday was the LONGEST DAY EVER OF RIDING. We went from Palm Coast (40 miles north of Daytona) at 7 AM and went down to Key West. Spent 1 hour in KW, getting the token pics, eating at Sloppy Joe's and getting a slice of Key Lime pie. Then we booked (we should have stayed, there were so many chicks down there) and then drove up to Miami. We got to Miami at around 10:30PM. So it was about 15.5 hours of riding. Sore as a mother....
So we're in Miami now, and gonna leave tomorrow. Get home by Sat. It's about 1400 miles in 2 days. Not bad, we'll live :lol: ;)

it's actually a fun ass ride...i rode my R1 to orlando from jersey 2 years ago all by myself... took me 12 hours straight! only stopping for gas and candy bars.

heck ill go...my plans for Daytona got screwed up pretty bad this year, 1) was bounced for my vacation due to seniority and my sister decided to use her trailor to go to daytona BUT i freakin never went and was also poor timing on my part
