I don't see the hype behind the iPhone, always love my HTC 8525 but anyway,
http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/ptech/07/11/iphone.sales.ap/index.html
Users buy Macs because a Mac does the stuff they need it to do and does it easily. I get that. If I had a few thousand more dollars, I'd get it even more, if you know what I mean.
iPhone users, however, view themselves as cool. I think they're desperate.
They see themselves as "cutting edge." I see them as followers.
iPhone roll-out, it appears, will be the day when we can cull the weak ones — tragically hip, peer pressure addicts — from the herd.
Wow another overpriced Apple product that no one really needs, but boy do they have to have it. You have to admire Apple's marketing strategy. Back when I was choosing a mp3 player, I made an informed decision rather than just automatically grabbing the ipod. People, you CAN break free of the stranglehold!

You got a 8525 too? I got one and its the best phone on the market, even at being a year old.
I always tell iPhone owners I have the best phone out. They say BS. Then I ask, does your phone have 3G? Most dont even know what it is. To the 2.0 owners I tell them I had it last year. Then I ask them if I send them a picture in a MMS how do they view it? Then I ask what about expandable memory. How much did they pay? How long was the line? Etc. That usually pisses them off.

I had the HTC and it was slow as **** and buggy when it was initially released. I'm not entirely sold on Windoze Mobile either. But I will wait to see if the Samsung Omnia will be sold in the US before I do purchase either the Omnia (which will probably be an ATT phone as well) or the Iphone. The whold ATT exclusive crap just doesnt do it for me though.

My wife has a Curve that's a pretty nice phone. I wanted her to get the Bold but she got the Curve for free. She always talk about crackberry.com. Is there other stuff she can do to it? I know my HTC can use different roms.

The first one was too slow, bro. The 8525 is twice as fast and the newest one - the Tilt is practically a power tool...I got my work Outlook synced up to this phone, use it as GPS for my car, notepad for shopping, basically a mobile pc...no nonsense, but Im gonna check out the newest Blackberry when my contract is done....I just don't buy the whole Iphone trend...
