I always do that to people. I hate when i say goodbye and they say one more thing and then launch into a lengthy rant when i need to leave. Plus if your talking to a few people and you say bye to them and one doesn't respond back for 5 min. you might look like a jerk to the others if your just hanging out online still. Whatever, i hate when people do it to me. :P
