Well if you have all your paperwork and were honest when filling out your tax returns you should be fine. Good Luck!
btw...moving this to off topic.

Yeah, being audited by the IRS means they will scrutinize your taxes down to the last penny...I would suggest getting a tax advisor or an accountant for a while...even if you "honestly" screw up, they will ream your pink hole hard!

I was audited 3 years in a row (97,98,99 started in 2001). My accountant is a former IRS auditor so I get a great return with little to no hassle. Each year I had to give back around 3-400 bucks (7% of the whole reurn) due to the audit but no big deal. Even if you ignore on the submission of the paper work they will bill you the difference if any and then you may dispute it and pay a smaller percentage of what is actually owed. The great amnesty laws.
The up side is they find that they owe you money. Unless you purposefully falsified your return I see no need to worry.

im not all that farmiliar with it, but i do work at an accounting firm, and the issue has come up in the past. There are 2 types of audits....1 done through the mail...the other done face to face. The one through the mail usually just questioning something specific. no big deal. the face to face one is usually a full audit for the real players like al capone. that one your basically fucked. heres a link that might help you http://www.wwwebtax.com/audits/audit_preparations.htm
Thank you!! My accountant has always gotten me back a good amount. To be honest, I never paid attention to what he did..I just signed. I knew he threw in things for work like clothes, etc, but nothing major that I know of..
